Confidentiality Statement
Our commitments on the confidentiality of clients, enquiries and material.
Last updated: October 2026
1. Our commitment
Confidentiality is a condition of every engagement. It applies from the first enquiry, whether or not an engagement follows, and continues after the work is complete.
2. Client identity
We do not name our clients, publicly or privately, and we do not confirm or deny whether we act for any person or organisation. Within the firm, a client's identity is known only to those working on the matter.
3. Handling of material
- Engagements are compartmented, with access limited to the people who need it
- Material is held on secured systems and shared only through channels agreed with the client
- Working files are retained for the period agreed with the client and then securely destroyed
4. People who work with us
Everyone who works with the firm on an engagement, including associates and contractors, is bound by obligations of confidentiality that continue after their work ends.
5. Sources
We protect the identity of sources who provide information on a confidential basis, consistent with the law and with our obligations to clients.
6. Disclosure required by law
We disclose confidential information only where we are legally required to do so. Where the law allows, we tell the client before any disclosure.
7. Questions
